Bert is a seasoned wealth management expert with over 40 years of experience, specializing in the development of integrated, multidisciplinary wealth management strategies and platforms.
Previously, Bert maintained a proven track record as a founder of multiple successful ventures, starting in 1985 with Executive Financial Planning, then Executive Wealth Management (EWM), and Fortunatus Investments. Bert played a pivotal role in creating EWM's 401(k) GPS and the Protactical™ Investment Process, both of which have been key to shaping the firm’s innovative approach to wealth management.
Bert holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Michigan State University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and a CHARTERED FINANCIAL CONSULTANT® (ChFC®), credentials that reflect his deep commitment to delivering comprehensive, high-level financial guidance.
Outside of his professional life, Bert has been happily married to his wife, Judy, for over 40 years. Together, they are proud parents of three children and doting grandparents to six grandchildren. Bert is deeply involved in both his Michigan and Florida communities, volunteering his time and supporting numerous charitable organizations, including The Brighton Rotary, LACASA, WorkSkills, The American Cancer Society, Gleaners Food Bank, and the Thomas M. Herzog Educational Foundation CC Scholarship Fund.
